Looking to buy a home?

Here are our usual steps:

1. We’ll email, or chat, and I’ll get a feel for what you’re looking for. I’ll also make sure you have a mortgage professional that you’re comfortable working with.
2. I’ll email you some houses to check out. (You can also look at some here, through my listings page.)
3. You’ll tell me which ones you’d like to see in person.
4. We’ll make a date and go and see 4-6 places.
5. From that little journey, I’ll get a better fix on what you do and do not like in a house. You’ll also get an idea of what things look like in your price range.
6. I’ll set you up on an auto-search through my system, so that you’re notified the minute something meeting your criteria is listed. Which is usually about 24 hours before it shows up on the public MLS.
7. Then if something comes up that you like, we get out to see it ASAP. In this market, if there’s a good deal, it goes fast.

For some buyers, I can conduct previews, and for some, Facetime/Skype/Facebook Messenger previews. If you’re out of town, it may be a waste of time to drive all the way to the Ottawa region for a home that would have been quickly disqualified in person. I can book a showing, and bring you along VIRTUALLY.

I make a point of having excellent working relationships with other realtors in the area. People are glad to see offers from my buyers, as they know I’ve done my homework in making sure my buyers are qualified, and that I will move swiftly through conditions. And, when the listing realtor has confidence in the buying realtor, negotiations go much smoother.
